- Develop a comprehensive food security strategy that treats rising grocery costs as a key affordability issue.
- Strengthen partnerships with the Community Investment (CID), the Department of Aging, Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), food banks, faith-based organizations and nonprofits to expand access to healthy, affordable food.
- Expand neighborhood and mobile grocery distribution programs that bring fresh food directly into underserved communities.
- Support community gardens and neighborhood-led efforts to improve food access.
- Improve transportation to farmers markets and increase enrollment in CalFresh and other nutrition assistance programs.
- Recruit more grocery stores and fresh food retailers to underserved neighborhoods, building on successful investments like Northgate Market a decade ago.

- Build on successful Universal Basic Mobility pilot programs and expand transportation options for low-income residents.

- Improve transit access so young people can travel from neighborhoods like South Central to the Westside and other parts of the city.
- Invest in transportation infrastructure that better connects communities and helps reduce traffic congestion.
